This Sengol was presented to Mountbatten British Governor general and this was transferred to Indian Prime Minister by Panruti ,Thiruvathigai Sadysamy KUMARASAMY THAMBIRAN from Thiruvaduthurai Atheenam .At this time Devaram Kolarupathigam song in Tamil was sung by Othuvamoorthigal ,and Nathaswarwam by thiruvaduthurai Rajarathinam pillai from Tamil Nadu on 15-8-1947 midnight ,the symbol of transferring Independence of India from British to India.
